How to Protect Osclass Forms with Cloudflare Turnstile
Use Cloudflare Turnstile on Osclass forms without turning every visitor interaction into a traditional CAPTCHA challenge.
Turnstile protects forms before account security begins
Password rules and 2FA protect legitimate accounts, but public forms are exposed before a user is authenticated. Bot protection belongs at that earlier layer. Cloudflare Turnstile can challenge suspicious traffic while keeping the normal Osclass Login, registration and contact flows intact.
- Protect forms that can be abused automatically.
- Validate the Turnstile token on the server, not only in the browser.
- Keep site and secret keys in administrator configuration.
Use server-side verification
The browser widget produces a token, but that token is not proof by itself. The Osclass form handler must send it to Cloudflare for verification and reject the request when validation fails. This prevents a bot from bypassing the visible widget and submitting directly to the endpoint.
- Use the production hostname configured for the Turnstile widget.
- Do not expose the secret key in page source.
- Treat network or validation failures according to the risk of the form being protected.
Protect the forms that matter
Login, registration and contact are common targets because they can be used for credential attacks, fake accounts or spam. A marketplace may also protect other high-abuse forms, but adding challenges everywhere can reduce usability. Start with the forms that have a clear abuse risk.
