How to Add Google Login to Osclass
A practical Osclass Google Login guide covering OAuth setup, callback URLs, account creation and the security checks that matter.
Why Google Login helps an Osclass marketplace
Google Login reduces the amount of typing required before a visitor can access an Osclass account. The important part is not the button itself, but the identity flow behind it: the site sends the user to Google, Google authenticates the user, and the callback returns verified identity data to Osclass.
For a classifieds or marketplace site, the cleanest setup keeps the normal Osclass Login available and adds Google as an alternative. Existing users can keep their current credentials, while new users can use Google when they prefer it.
Use a Web Application OAuth client
Create a Google Cloud OAuth client of type Web Application. The authorized redirect URI must match the callback URL generated by the Osclass plugin exactly, including HTTPS, host name and path. A mismatch is one of the most common reasons an otherwise-correct setup fails.
- Use HTTPS on the live site.
- Copy the callback URL from the plugin settings instead of typing it from memory.
- Store the Client ID and Client Secret only in the administrator settings.
- Do not place the Client Secret in frontend JavaScript or public documentation.
Security checks to keep in the flow
A production login integration should validate the OAuth state value and the OpenID Connect response. PKCE and nonce validation add protection against intercepted or replayed authentication flows. Automatic Osclass account creation should happen only after the identity and email returned by Google have passed validation.
- Keep the native Osclass Login available as a fallback.
- Decide whether Google users may create a new account automatically.
- Test both an existing Osclass email and a completely new Google account.
Where TTB Google Login fits
TTB Google Login is built for this exact Osclass flow. It uses Google OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect, generates the site callback URL, supports optional account creation and includes state, nonce and PKCE protections. The commercial product remains branded TTB Google Login, while this guide targets the broader search intent: Osclass Google Login.
