How to Install and Update an Osclass Plugin
A safe Osclass plugin workflow: download the correct ZIP, update without deleting data unnecessarily and verify the affected frontend flow.
Download the current product package
Use the ZIP supplied in My Library for the exact product. Do not unpack and recombine files unless the product documentation explicitly requires it. The installable package should contain only the plugin runtime, required language files and licensing metadata that belongs to the product.
Update over the existing plugin when the product supports upgrades
For normal TTB Osclass updates, install the newer package over the existing plugin instead of deleting database data first. Removing a plugin before an update can erase settings when an uninstall routine is designed to clean its data.
- Back up the site before a production update.
- Keep the current working package until the new version is verified.
- Do not overwrite theme files to make a plugin work unless the product explicitly documents that requirement.
Verify the actual workflow after the update
Open the administrator settings page, then test the public action the plugin changes: Login, registration, listing images, checkout, moderation or another relevant flow. A successful install message alone does not prove that an external OAuth, email, payment or API integration is correctly configured.
