Joomla Scroll to Top Module

Overview

A lightweight configurable scroll-to-top button for Joomla with smooth scrolling, threshold, position and style controls.

What it does

• Configures the scroll threshold before the button appears.
• Supports left or right placement.
• Supports an optional visible text label and three button sizes.
• Uses smooth scrolling while respecting the reduced-motion preference.
• Uses an inline SVG icon with no icon-font or external JavaScript dependency.
• Delivers critical frontend CSS/JavaScript directly so the button is not dependent on template asset registration.
• Creates no custom database tables and calls no remote API.

Installation

1. Upload the ZIP in Joomla Administrator > System > Install > Extensions.
2. Open Site Modules and create or enable TTB Scroll Top.
3. Choose a template position, configure threshold, placement and styling, then save.
4. Scroll a frontend page and verify both normal and reduced-motion behaviour.

Requirements

• Joomla 4.x, 5.x or 6.x target environment.
• A Joomla site template that renders the selected module position.
• No third-party runtime library is required.

Important

The final visual position can be affected by the active Joomla template and other fixed-position widgets. Verify spacing on the target desktop and mobile template.
