Announcement Bars and Scroll-to-Top UX in Joomla
Two small Joomla interface tools work best when they solve a clear navigation or communication need and stay out of the main content.
Reserve the announcement bar for information that matters
A site-wide bar is visually prominent, so it should carry a message that justifies the space: an important notice, a limited promotion, a maintenance window or another short call to action. Permanent generic slogans quickly become invisible to returning visitors.
Keep the bar readable on mobile
The message should stay short, the link target should be obvious and the bar should not push important navigation off screen. If visitors can dismiss it, the dismissal behavior should be consistent.
Use scroll-to-top on genuinely long pages
A scroll-to-top control helps when a page requires substantial vertical navigation. It adds little value on short pages. The button should appear only after the visitor has scrolled far enough that returning to the top is useful.
TTB Joomla modules
TTB Notice Bar adds a configurable announcement or promotion bar. TTB Scroll to Top adds a lightweight smooth-return control with practical display settings. Both are small interface utilities rather than replacements for the site's main navigation.
